Using a SmartStrip

Using a SmartStrip not only protects your electronics from surges but also has three color-coded sections to help save energy when items are not in use.

If you turn off the device plugged into the blue socket, all devices plugged into the green socket will turn off, too (great for an entertainment system, for example). The red sockets are always on so devices like modems are exempted from the energy-saving feature of the strip.
