GSA Switch Ambassadors help promote campus screenings of Switch and publicize the Switch web videos with faculty and other students.

The benefits are significant: You'll be starting a practical energy conversation and leading an important national program on your campus. For students, you'll also have another valuable credit for your resume.

For those already on board, thank you for your dedication to the project's mission. With your help, we can move to a more informed, productive energy discussion that brings us to workable solutions.

At the same time, we can spread the word that energy efficiency and conservation are highly effective ways for individuals and organizations to make a difference immediately. Thanks again for being a Switch ambassador.

Promote the screening of Switch on campus

It's important to bring the largest audience possible, to build awareness of the project and being the discussion. To do this:

• Look for a group to co-sponsor the event. Departments, or campus energy, environmental or sustainability groups have all helped make screenings a success.
• Send the Press Kit to student papers, websites and blogs, and encourage them to run a story. We can send interested writers a DVD of the film to review.
• Send out promotional materials. We'll send you digital invites to forward, digital signage for campus LCD screens, and posters and postcards with your screening info.
• Use Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, email and your voice to spread the word!

Encourage use of Switch videos in classwork and individual learning

Every time we've shown the film at universities, faculty have asked for content to use in coursework. They'll find that in the Switch web videos. Steps:

• Follow our 15-minute Web Guide to get familiar with the videos on this site.
• Screen our Video Sampler DVD after the showing of Switch. It takes just 10 minutes. Offer a brief introduction and discussion.
• Set up appointments with faculty to show them the web videos – in your department, or others. Energy is relevant to every discipline!
• Send videos to your contacts, or connect with them through our Facebook. Spreading the word is crucial!

Track your data

The project's nonprofit funders need to know how many people the program is reaching. So, please:

• At the screening, take a headcount and pass out the Email Sign-up Sheet.
• Use the Outreach Tracking Form to record your promotion efforts for the screening and your sharing of the web videos.
